I am really bad at this...

I am sure bad at keeping this blog going...here is another update.
Matt and I are busy planning our wedding coming up this August. I am going this weekend with my step mom to an event at the Double Tree Hotel to look for a dress. The event is called Brides Against Breast Cancer. I thought this would be a good place to start since the proceeds of the the sell go to help breast cancer. I hope to find dress there. Other than planning and working, not a whole lot is going on.
Oh, we bought a house in August! I absolutely love it! It's an awesome feeling to know you can do whatever you want and that your monthly payment is actually going to your own investment and not someone else's.

Long time, no talk

Well, I have forgotten I have a blog and decided it was time to do a little update. I still really miss my Grandpa but it is getting better. In June I got engaged to a wonderful guy that I have been dating for three years. We stayed at the Inn at Cape Kiwanda for our three year anniversary and he propsed on a hike we did at Cascade Head. The wedding will be August 8th, 2009 at the Deepwood Estate here in Salem.

We are also in the process of purchasing our first place in South Salem. All we need now is to hear from the underwriter to see if we got the funding. I am really excited! That's pretty much it for now. I will try to post more often.

Sad Time

This is the first time I have ever done anything like this but I thought I would give it a try...especially now so I don't get all these pent up feelings inside. A coworker told me about it. To begin, my Grandpa on my mom's side of the family passed away on October 28th. He had a stroke a few months back ( we think the first one was back in July) and none of the doctor's caught it. I grew up living with my grandparents so this hit me really hard. My Grandpa was like my dad. He has had some health problems but I didn't expect anything like this to happen for a few more years. He was only 63 years old. We had his funeral on November 1st and it was very nice. The minister knew my grandpa so it made it better because he told a bunch of personal stories. There were a lot of people there. There were even people there that he knew back when he and my Grandma owned the Shaw Store.

Everyone at my work has been wonderful throughout this entire ordeal. They have been very patient and flexible with me if I needed to leave early or not come in, etc. Other than that, not a whole lot has been going on. I am going to see how this thing works out and I am going to try and post on it every day.
